About Us
Pollen Baby was founded by Simone and Sally Giblin who are daughter-in-law and mother-in-law. Simone, a mother of one year old Johannes, has a background in Architecture and Design. Sally, mother to five grown sons, has 15 years in Patchwork and Quilting, in which she also teaches.
We started as we could not find any funky, modern baby merchandise anywhere. Initially we had the idea of a play mat, which folded up into a tote or drawstring bag, to use at home or take to the park. Something that was appealing yet soft on baby's skin. We also found that there were no stylish play pen mats. We suddenly had many mum friends who were interested in our mats, blankets, wraps and washers. We thoroughly enjoy and are very passionate about making for other mums and their babies.
